ABOUT THE PROJECT
Square footage: 97.5 m²
Type of object: House | two apartments for rent
Type of project: furniture and equipment selection
Year of design: 2020
Recently I was working with a client who rents out a house. There are several apartments in it and they were all equipped with IKEA furniture. Since the owner was not really satisfied with the end result and because he knows how much time it would take to find and choose all the equipment (and there was no guarantee of a great interior look), he decided to get professional help to equip another two apartments that have been completely renovated on the ground floor.
When the client called me, the rooms were already renovated and ready to bring equipment. The walls were painted, the flooring was selected and laid, the kitchen was planned and installed, the bathroom was tiled and the sanitary equipment was installed. The basic layout of the equipment was thus known, but it was necessary to choose furniture and decor, and create a sense of connection. We decided to choose furniture in IKEA and JYSK.
The future residents were already known. The first apartment (apartment A) is for the young couple and the second one, a two-bedroom apartment (apartment B), is for two men. We went with a neutral vibe in apartment A and with a slightly more masculine vibe in apartment B. I’m sharing with you some of the items selected for both apartments.

I was thinking about you during the project and that it might be easier for you if you knew how to deal with your own shopping project so that in the end it doesn’t look like you dragged the furniture home from 16 different stores. That’s why I wrote a blog post on HOW TO CREATE A COHESIVE LOOK, using an easy step-by-step method.
